2021 to 2024
I started as a Production Assistant and was then promoted to a full-time photographer for my exemplary performance. From studio to field shoots, including breaking news, weather, and feature segments, I honed my photography and videography skills, which I utilized for broadcast and web purposes. If I wasn't out and about, I was in-house editing. I was the sole Good Day Columbus weekend editor. Delivering video elements to live broadcast for the 5-hour-long show. I won three consecutive internal photo contests, often complimented on my composition. I worked on several Ohio Valley Emmy Award-winning pieces and recently received my first Emmy nomination for my Photojournalist role on Good (Snow) Day Columbus for Best Newscast 2024.

WBGU is responsible for broadcasting and streaming BGSU's sporting events. I worked in all positions in production, but I was typically a high and tight camera operator for most sporting events. The producers often assign me to find heroes, coaches, and crowd shots. I was often complimented on my ability to predict reactions and my quickness.

2018
WBGU held a festival for kids at our local ice arena. A crew interviewed kids in front of a green screen, I face painted, and then later I edited them. There are a series of them, but LJ's is my favorite. These are meant to broadcast during interstitials.

PBS does a special series called The Great American Read, encouraging viewers to read and vote online for their favorite book of the year. We featured several faculty members on promos explaining their favorite books to read and why.

Summer in Ohio
Summer In Ohio
2018
As apart of our Summer in Ohio series, we would visit festivals around Ohio. On this shoot, I was a camera operator and got a lot of b-roll of the Asian Festival. It was lots of fun, and there was really good food. I edited the Kale and Ale Festival. Inkarceration was the coolest festival, though, there was heavy metal and tattooing in a prison. There I helped find people to interview, had them sign release forms, and assisted the director.

I worked on several shoots as a PA and did the editing for multiple WBGU Cooks shows. It was pretty fun to eat on set after, but later when editing I would get hungry ...

2017 to 2021
At WBGU-PBS, I was promoted from Production Assistant to Production Manager for my perfect attendance and positive attitude. I led a student production team that supported over 200 ESPN broadcasts as well as other live-streamed athletic events, local town halls, symposiums, game shows, and studio cooking programs. I regularly operated studio, jib, and JVC field cameras, managed lighting, audio, and switchboard operations, and directed technical setup for both studio and remote shoots. I edited a nationally syndicated series using Adobe Premiere and After Effects, creating graphics, transitions, and captions that aligned with the long-running show’s established branding. I earned the 2019 Spirit Award and the 2021 "Get's It" Award.

I am an Ohio native and recent Chicago transplant. I studied Visual Communication Technology at Bowling Green State University. I am particularly adept in post-production but can juggle all production phases. I am passionate about nature, animals, the arts, and helping others. I hope to work for another company that addresses social issues relating to these topics through creative storytelling and video production.
